Full-time Specialist Training
The clinic is fully equipped with digital radiography, digital mammography, 128-line CT, 1.5-T MR tomography, flat panel detector, DSA system, fluoroscopy workstation, sonography, and RIS/PACS/digital voice recognition. We cover a large diagnostic and interventional spectrum and modern radiology management. The clinic is an active partner in several certified centers (vascular center, intestinal center, breast center, etc.) and is a member of a large interdisciplinary tumor board.
A particular focus of the clinic is vascular and oncological interventions, which are carried out in close cooperation with the clinics for vascular surgery, internal medicine, and visceral surgery. The chief physician is a certified trainer for interventional radiology (modules: A, B, C, D) and cardiac MRI/CT (Q3 status). In 2016, the radiological clinic was the first in North Rhine-Westphalia to be certified as a DeGIR center for interventional vascular medicine and minimally invasive therapy.
Specialist training is based on a structured further training curriculum. We also regularly offer interdisciplinary training courses (weekly) within departments (daily) and across departments.

Your Working Environment
The Clinic for Cardiology, Angiology, and Internal Intensive Care Medicine is a training center for interventional cardiology and electrophysiology certified by the German Society for Cardiology. It offers a complete range of modern cardiology services (three modern cardiac catheter laboratories with 3,500 procedures per year, certified chest pain unit, cardio CT, sports cardiology outpatient clinic), including the treatment of structural heart diseases (TAVI, mitral clipping, LAA/PFO occluder) and all electrophysiological ablation procedures (pacemaker/ICD/CRT).
There is close cooperation with the in-house cardiac surgery clinic (established heart team). The state-of-the-art internal intensive care unit with 18 beds (14 ventilation places) is also assigned to the Clinic for Cardiology, Angiology, and Internal Intensive Care Medicine and treats patients from all internal medicine specialties represented at the clinic (cardiology, pneumology, nephrology, gastroenterology, haemato-oncology, geriatrics). An important feature is the daily joint visits by intensive care physicians and senior physicians from all specialist disciplines, which are also regularly reinforced by the clinic's own Institute for Microbiology.
We offer you the full authorization for further training in internal medicine (fixed rotation principle with all internal medicine clinics), in addition to cardiology and internal intensive care medicine. After your further training or as a specialist, you can of course also acquire the specialization designations.
Your Skills
You are already an internist or doctor in advanced training with the desire to complete the optional training in internal intensive care medicine.
You have a German license to practice medicine.
